everything has changed - yet nothing has

I stared at this blank post for ten minutes before writing this sentence. I have been putting this moment off all week. I knew I wanted to start blogging again, but it has literally been months since I have written anything besides grocery lists and cover letters. Curse words for an aspiring journalist.

A lot has happened in the past year. As you can see, I have made some design changes to the blog. I have also graduated college, gotten married and moved to Memphis {and that is just the past couple months}. So instead of writing from the perspective of a young college woman enjoying life and struggling to find purpose in this world, I am writing from the perspective of a young newlywed enjoying life and struggling to find purpose in this world.

Maybe not much has changed after all.

I still love chocolate. I still have control issues. I still go for long runs. I still have days I feel fat. And, I am still waiting—though sometimes grudgingly—on the Lord.

But I can’t complain. If there is anything I have learned in the past 22 years, it is that the Lord is faithful. Celebrate that fact with me today.

“Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.”
-Psalm 36:5

“I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever!
Young and old will hear of your faithfulness.
Your unfailing love will last forever.
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.
-Psalm 89:1-2
