forever like that

When I started this blog the second time around, I was job searching. It was easy to keep up with three posts a week because I needed something productive to keep me busy while Daniel was away at school.

I made a promise to myself, though, that I would never let this blog be a source of stress. Blogging and writing is something I do because I enjoy it, to stress over it would defeat the purpose.

So this past week I just stepped away. Why? Because I can.

Because I wanted to focus my time and attention on my friends and family this past weekend.

Because I needed to show my house some TLC.

Because I wanted to just come home from work, cook for my husband and watch New Girl without a computer in my lap.

And because I needed more Jesus and less me in my life.

So after a week, I’ve come back refreshed and with tons of new ideas. I love blogging and I love sharing life with you. So don’t be afraid to leave a comment, share a story or give some advice. I’m all ears, and I always try to respond!

Don’t worry… I plan on filling you in on all the many things that have happened during my silence {it’s more than you think}.

But for now, please enjoy this snippet of the Ben Rector concert Daniel and I attended last Thursday in Little Rock. He’s singing my favorite song, “Forever Like That.”

This song would have made it much easier to pick a first dance song.

I wanna love you, forever I do.
I wanna spend all of my days with you.
I'll carry your burdens and be the wind at your back.
I wanna spend my forever - forever like that.
