graze: the answer to 4 o'clock hunger pains

If you’ve been coming around these parts long enough, you know one important fact: I love to eat.

And though I do my best to make wise and healthy food choices - eat a big breakfast, pack my lunch, limit eating out - it never fails that about 10:30 a.m. and about 4:00 p.m., I get a little {a lot} snacky.

If you’ve ever worked in an office building, you know your snack options are limited. Option #1: Head toward the vending machine and select the food item with the least amount of sugar and trans fat. Best of luck. Option #2: Coerce your coworker for a treat out of her snack drawer. She’s got a great stash, and you’ll pay her back. Option #3: Remember to pack non-perishable snack items in your already over-flowing lunch box. You barely have time to grab last night’s leftovers, but surely you can take an extra five minutes to make decisions about snacks. Or…

Option #4: graze

I actually learned about graze through Spotify - I guess those ads are good for something. Basically, graze is a subscription snack box. For $6 a box, you get four healthy snacks delivered right to your home {or - in my case - right to my work}. So when the hunger hits, you can skip options one through three and head right for the good stuff.

Here’s what I love about graze:
#1 It’s cheap. Most subscription boxes are $15+ a month, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to commit a majority of my allowance each month to snacks or subscriptions.
#2 It’s flexible. You can go in and schedule when you want your next box. It will automatically set you up for every two weeks, but you can change it based on your needs.
#3 It’s customizable. You can go on the graze website and rank the snacks based on your food preferences. That way, they won’t send you anything you don’t like.

Here’s a sample of my graze box last month:

#1 Raspberry Coconut Muffins - LOVE

Absolutely delicious! I’ve tried a couple of their “muffin” mixes and I love every single one. Almonds, coconut and raspberries are three of my favorite healthy foods. I ranked this item as “love” so I hope they send it to me again and again.

#2 Boston Baguettes with a BBQ Relish - TRASH

So, after trying graze for several months, I’ve discovered that I’m not a big fan of any of the dips and dippers. I knew I wasn’t going to like this, so I just handed it off to Daniel. He loved it, so maybe you will, too.

#3 Popping Corn with a Twist of Black Pepper - LOVE

I’ve heard great things about graze Popping Corn, but this was my first time to try it. They did not disappoint! I love the kick of black pepper, and it was the perfect serving size. Now, I want to know if I can purchase this in bulk?

#4 Chocolate Pecan Pie - LOVE

This was a particularly good graze box - maybe it’s because it has the American flag on it - because this is also the first time that I got CHOCOLATE in my box!!! I love chocolate, especially when my portions are being controlled.

And, here’s the best part: If you sign up through my affiliate links {using my code - JENNYF14P} you’ll get your first AND fifth box free. So, you can try it and if you don’t like it, you can just cancel your subscription. No harm, no foul! Also, I feel obligated to tell you that if you sign up through my links, I get a $1 off a box, so you’re helping me sustain my snacking habits.

So what are you waiting for? Have you tried graze? How do you snack on the job?
