this week the trend 11.10

what i captured:

what i did:
1. Daniel and I have a newfound love in the Memphis Grizzlies. We’ve attended both home games so far, and got to see the Grizz win their first season opener in the history of the franchise. Say what?! The Grizzlies are looking almost as good as us in these pink headbands.

2. Needless to say, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an incredible part of the Memphis community. On Wednesday I had the opportunity through work to tour their campus. I left overwhelmed by the awesome work the hospital is doing and awed by the passion of their staff. If you’d like to support their cause, I’m still raising money for the St. Jude Marathon on December 6. Go here to donate.

3. Yes, still training for that marathon. I “only” had a 13 mile run this week, so I’m feeling pretty good. Especially with this beautiful weather and even more beautiful views! But my eyes are THIS BIG looking toward next Saturday’s run of 20 miles… Whew!

4. A couple of weeks ago Daniel and I went apple picking at a local orchard. We have apples for daysssss. So I used them to bake up some goodies for our family meal on Sunday. This dutch apple pie and this caramel apple bundt cake. Mmmm mmmm good!

what i read:
1. As someone who looks at a lot of stock photos for my jobs, this post made me laugh out loud.
2. I can’t believe this is coming to Memphis.
3. This was a real eye-opener. Sometimes I need to see life through the eyes of a child.
