this week the trend 12.22

what i captured:
Kiss me, babe, it's Christmas time.
what i did:
{There’s no way I can fit all the events of the week into 4 bullet points, so I’ll do it different this week.}
  1. Monday - I spent the evening rapidly wrapping Christmas presents, making sweet treats and preparing for the week.
  2. Tuesday - That morning IKEA announced they are coming to Memphis! #whoopwhoop I zoomed across town for the International Business Council Lunch and zoomed back to spend the rest of the afternoon and late into the night at the City Council meeting. The Memphis City Council made a landmark decision, putting in place changes to the City pension system that will make our city fiscally sound for years to come. {Do I sound like I’m in PR or what?}
  3. Wednesday - Early morning at a public health forum. Late night at a Chamber Alliance Legislative Reception. {Don’t be jealous.}
  4. Thursday - Went on a tour of Southland Park Gaming and Racing {which is technically not a casino, who knew?} where I got to pet the sweet greyhounds, watch them race and learn about some very strategic marketing decisions. Afterwards, we partied with our members at the Holiday Mixer at Southland’s new Sammy Hagar’s Red Rocker Bar & Grill. And after that, I went and played poker with the husband and some friends. {Just so you know, the girls dominated.}
  5. Friday - I got my hairs cut! Made an appearance at the SoundCheck - A Young Professional Council’s holiday party then went with Daniel to the Brass Door to get some food and watch the Memphis Grizzlies.
  6. Saturday - Slept forever and then prepped for the Downtown Parish’s first annual Reindeer Games. A good time was had by all {with the exception of one party pooper}. We’re already making plans for next year.
