about me

Hi. I'm Jenny Fish {the last name's new, I kinda like it}. Some people call me "J." Others used to call me "Fish." Still others like to call me "Jennifer." But it's just "Jenny" - I promise.

I'm a communications specialist at an awesome organization. I'm a graduate from John Brown University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and minors in graphic design and marketing. I play basketball, exercise like crazy, and cheer on my beloved Razorbacks whenever I get the chance. I also like to shop, cook, read, run, craft, write, play sports, travel, watch movies, listen to music, entertain and much, much more.

But those are the things I do, not who I am.

I am a wife to a handsome man who can always make me laugh. I am a daughter to the best parents a girl can ask for. I am a sister to three younger, yet taller, brothers. And I am friend to the most amazingly crazy and beautiful girls in the world.

But those are the people I love, not who I am.

I am, first and foremost, a child of the King. I am ambitious and outgoing and friendly, yet the most competitive person you will ever meet. God created me with a passion for writing and sharing people's stories, including my own. And I'm learning day by day what it means to give up control of my life and put it in the hands of the One who knows best.

I'm excited to see where God takes me in the upcoming years. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it. Please join me on this journey. The best is yet to come.

"Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you."
-Psalm 143:8

    3. No, her name is Hannah Tranberg. She would have graduated in 2007. I didn't know Elizabeth graduated from John Brown too! Small world.

  4. HI! I'm stopping over from Sunshine to the Square Inch! I love your about me....and I agree. All to often we describe who we are by our hobbies, talents, dreams, or relationships. Yet, we forget to mention the biggest and BEST part (and entire part) of who we are. Created wonderfully and perfectly from God. I can't wait to read more!!!

    1. Thank you Elicia!! I love Beka & Sunshine to the Square Inch! - And this page actually started as a class assignment. We were actually required to write an "About Me" page - but as I read everyone else's I was really convicted about all the ways people defined themselves, including me. When you let anything else define you besides Jesus and His sacrifice for you, you're building a house on sinking sand. He's the Rock and only firm foundation. Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to getting to know you more!
